revo maintenance log

since revo is communal use, there should be an easy way to communicate it's maintenance history. a car should have a change oil at least once a year. fortunately, this is the only maintenance that is critically important. a good rule of thumb is to change oil before every registration or smoke test. the recommendation is every 6 months or every 6 thousand kilometers. but i'm very too lazy to follow the right way. this is the reason why i don't bother trying to start a business or construction project because i'm not competent enough.

7/2/19: changed oil, changed air filter, changed fuel filter, replaced front brake pads.

* as you all know, there is a problem with the brake where sometimes it won't brake and you will have to pump it to stop the car. this is caused by a bubble in the brake fluid. i removed the bubble by bleeding the brakes (you can watch a video in youtube on how to do this). the bubble happens when the fluid level becomes too low. this means there is a leak. usually the leak happens in the brake pistons but i checked and they were all completely dry. there is a wet spot in the master cylinder so i asked the mechanic to get an estimate to fix a leak in the master cylinder. he said that if it's just the kit, then it's around P1k+ but if it's the master cyclinder then it's around P4k+. since the leak is very slow, i decided for now to just inspect and top off the brake fluid once a week.

i use the revo usually only once a week so i will leave the keys near the phone counter so anyone can use it. but make sure to inspect the brake fluid and top it off with DOT 3 if almost near the minimum line. or else we will need to bleed it again (which is quite laborious because it involves removing each wheel).
